# Editor Building Placer

This component is an extension of the [Building Placer](/easy-build-system-old/components/building-placer.md) component, designed to enable direct interaction with the building system from the Unity scene view.

You can open the Editor Building Placer directly from the Tools menu items as shown below:

You can then use the different building modes from this inspector.

It allows you to select the building parts of your choice so that you can then place them.\
It also supports destruction mode as well as editing.

{% hint style="info" %}
The [Building Parts](/easy-build-system-old/components/building-part.md) shown in this inspector are based on the references included in the [Building Manager](/easy-build-system-old/components/building-manager.md) of your scene. You can directly load different references in the [Building Manager](/easy-build-system-old/components/building-manager.md) if you wish to have other choice possibilities.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://mindcodeinteractive.gitbook.io/easy-build-system-old/components/building-placer/editor-building-placer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
